It truly is an Alpine experience nestled in the Border Forest. Could anything make the stay more perfect?……we were lucky to experience the Aurora Borlealis - a fitting end to a fabulous trip.

What a gorgeous and inspiring place, we love Alpnhaus. we decided that we could happliy live here forever! We feel at peace, all the stresses of daily life have dissapeared. Ninety minutes transports us to another more magical world. The wildness and Winter dark accentuate the comfort and coory of Alpnhaus. The cold and wind and rain is the perfect contrast to the warmth, love and attention of Christa and Del. It feels so intimate her - on so many levels - so close to nature, close to Christa and Del and their realised dream, close to each other as we slow down and breathe. To finish our stay, reading the guest book is, as always, an inspiration and invitation to the next special stay.

Alpnhaus is one of those rare spots which commands a calm mind the moment you cross the threshold. Complemented by a serene landscape, soothing essential oils and sumptuous furnture, Alpnhaus is every bit award winning on every level.

Christa and Del negotiate the ‘on site’ owner balance perfectly. On hand for wildlife and weather chat and on call for gas conundrums.

Suffice to say, not only will I return but I will return again and again ….and again.

Absolutely stunning chalet. As soon as we stepped in we were transported to the Alps! Everything was so easy and convenient. “Such an amazing place to spend a birthday. As soon as we walked in, the amazing aromatherapy scents made us so relaxed.

The first night was wild so we didn’t use the hot tub but it was a great opportunity to just relax, disconnect from the world and take this amazing place in.

Breakfast was just wow - a great start to the day and to top it off we got a little visit from the local stoat which made my morning - such a cheeky chap!

Watching the birds at the feeder was so relaxin whilst watching the mist clear from the trees.

To top our stay iff, the winds and rains settled and we made good use of the most amazing hot tub. The sun set and the stars appeared. Until next time, thank you.”

Alpnhaus really is THE dream cabin in the woods. We can’t imagine a better way to spend the morning than a magical misty dog walk to return to the most EPIC breakfast hamper. It was perfect sitting out to enjoy it blessed with sun and birds.

I booked this a year ago and have been counting down the days to arrive. Such a beautiful place and we will be back. Tranquility, peace, relaxations, breakfasts.....Amazing. Hot tub....Amazing. Great knowing you two are close by if needed.

Our first visit - WOW. Walking through the door, what a fabulour aroma. It is so relaxing, the views are amazing. This stay was just what we needed and we will be back.

Returning back to our 'happy place'. As soon as you walk through the door you feel relaxed, the pace is slower and sleep is deeper. Thank you for the wonderful welcome, the special hot tub and amizing breakfasts. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
