Off grid, powered with renewable electricity, and beautifully nestled 350 metres above sea level in the Cheviot Hills, Alpnhaus is in the grounds of Singdean which dates back to the 14th century.
A luxurious Alpine interior, Alpnhaus is a fully self catering retreat that will embrace you in a warm, wondrous hug. Where you can totally relax with your loved one and four legged friend surrounded by breath-taking natural beauty both inside and out of your Alpine chalet. A healing bolthole for body and mind.
You’ll also be treated to a traditional, freshly-prepared Alpine mountain breakfast basket, which will be placed outside your door each morning (softly, so as not to disturb that lazy lie-in).

Just for you, the wood-fired hot tub is freshly filled with pure Scottish spring water, then gently heated until it reaches the perfect temperature for stargazing

And since you’re near the Kielder Observatory, in a blissfully quiet area with no light pollution, you’re in for a spectacular treat.
By day there are long walks in every direction, wildlife to watch and the wood- fired hot tub to wallow in, which Del will heat up to a toasty 37 degrees for your use every evening.
Alpnhaus was one of four finalists (and the only ones from Scotland) for the i Staycation Awards for sustainable tourism.
Dog guests - up to two (or three small) dogs free of charge, with prior arrangement.
