About Alpnhaus
Sitting with her back to the world, Alpnhaus is an award winning, luxurious off grid mountain chalet, here at Singdean. Designed for you both to relax and totally switch off. A cosy, warm independent hideaway with integrity, nestled in the hills.
Child free and dog friendly. Just for two, you are the only guests here.
Alpnhaus is placed on a rugged hillside surrounded by hills and valleys with streams and waterfalls. Singdean 'garden' has a large wildlife pond which attracts so much wild life - from frogs to dragonflies to herons and wild ducks.
Deer, foxes, stoats and badgers are also frequent visitors. And just beyond the garden, we have seen otters. We also have resident barn and tawny owls.
Alpnhaus has been hand made by us with a lot of love, masses of local larch, a large pinch of creativity, some help and a heap of dedication. It took just over a year, although it has been many years in the making.
We are on hand incase you need anything but otherwise you won’t even know that we’re here.
Mountian Breakfast
Our traditional Alpine mountain breakfast is placed in a hamper outside of your door for you to enjoy together. Changing with the season, it consists of coffee, orange juice, bread, patisserie, fruit, yoghurt, porridge, cheeses and hams and eggs. All are sourced locally whenever possible.
Should you still be asleep, don't worry - we won't wake you.
Time to relax
The out door wood fired hot tub is freshly filled for you using our very own natural Scottish Spring water. It has spectacular views and is placed just outside of your bedroom. Del will heat it it for you so that it will be ready for you at 6.00 pm.
Or if you’d like to use it any time, there is also a basket of logs for you.
Guests have enjoyed seeing deer, badger, fox and owls whilst relaxing in the hot tub. And if the skies are clear and dark, the milky way is an extraordinary sight.
Whatever time of year you choose to visit is special so we don’t have any seasonal or weekend price changes. We have no hidden charges.
